@aivz: Das sollte ein Thread werden, in dem die Leute ihre Lieblingstracks oder Anspieltipps mitteilen können oder vielleicht neue Alben empfehlen können. Da muss nicht gegen andere Bands, die dir nicht gefallen, geschossen werden. Äussere einfach deine Tipps aber spar dir die Anfeindungen.

Die neue Zao, "The Funeral Of God" ist auch sehr geil. Zao haben einen Schritt nach vorne gemacht und sind ein wenig eingängiger geworden, dennoch der unverwechselbare Zao Sound. Diesmal allerdings auch mit cleanen Parts.

Anglizismenalarm...nun ja, darüber kann man streiten. Es ist nunmal so, dass die meisten Begrifflichkeiten aus den Staaten kommen und es auch keine deutschen Äquivalente gibt und eine direkte Übersetzung ist wohl eher nicht angebracht. Btw..."Metal" ist an sich ein Anglizismus, also wer im Glashaus sitzt, ne?
Metalcore ist alles andere als primitiv...du empfindest wahrscheinlich den von mir erwähnten "Tough Guy Hardcore" als primitiv. Das ist auch völlig ok, technisch gesehen ist er das wahrscheinlich auch. Was zählt ist, dass er rockt, treibt, groovt, und das alles in einer völlig anderen Weise als "echter Metal" (den ich ebenfalls zu genüge kenne und höre). Wer meint solche Vergleiche anstrengen zu müssen...versteht wahrscheinlich das Prinzip unterschiedlichen Geschmacks nicht.
Und dass sich Leute auf den Konzerten schlagen müssen finde ich persönlich auch dämlich. Ich bin kein "Fighter", aber ich mag schon mal ganz gerne ein hartes Moshpit, wenn man da mal einen abbekommt ist das völlig ok, man geht das Risiko halt ein. Wenn aber jemand gezielt schlägt (kommt leider vor), dann wünsche ich mir diese Person auch immer aus der Halle verbannt, aber Idioten gibts überall, mit Sicherheit auch auf "Metal" Konzerten.

naja, vom pressure festival hab ich aber halt gehört dass da eigentlich nur gezielt geschlagen und getreten wird. ka, n paar freunde die da waren ham das halt erzählt.

Ja beim Pressurefest war es leider ziemlich extrem. Gibt halt diesen einen blonden Hünen, der auf allen möglichen Hardcore Konzerten zu finden ist und IMMER unangenehm auffällt. Keine Ahnung, warum man den nicht direkt von allen Konzerten ausschliesst.

Aber hier mal ein kleines Update:
CALIBAN - The opposite from within
Ein Freund von mir hat mir dankenswerter Weise die Promoedition zum Reinhören überlassen. Ich war unglaublich gespannt, weil Caliban eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsbands ist und ich das neue Album kaum erwarten konnte. Im Vorfeld hatte ich bereits einige nicht ganz so positive Kritiken vernommen, vor allem sollen sie "poppiger" geworden sein und mehr den Mainstream bedienen...das übliche Kommerz-Blabla halt. Nun habe ich mich aber einen Tag damit "beschäftigt" und muss sagen: ALLES DUMMES GESCHWÄTZ!
Caliban sind zurück und sie sind besser denn je. Labelwechsel und Mitgliederfluktuation in der Band hin oder her, meiner Meinung nach hat es dem Sound einen gehörigen Schub nach vorne gegeben. War auf der "Shadow Hearts" schon im Vergleich zu der "Vent" eine Tendenz zu eingängigeren Melodien und zu teilweise cleanem Gesang zu erkennen, so ist dies auf der neuen Scheibe erst recht der Fall. Tolle Melodien, die sofort hängenbleiben, gepaart mit sehr schönen cleanen Parts im Gesang. Der gute Herr Dörner hat gesangstechnisch wirklich einen großen Schritt nach vorne gemacht.
Nun könnte man meinen, dass Caliban "weich" bzw. "kommerziell" geworden sind, doch weit gefehlt. Es ist nicht einfach die richtige Mischung zwischen Härte, Melodie, Groove und Eingängigkeit zu finden, doch mit "The opposite from within" ist dies perfekt gelungen. Schnelle Parts, dann wieder die totale Midtempo Zerstörung, so dass man direkt den Drang verspürt sich zu bewegen . Hier und da lassen sich Parallelen zu Killswitch Engage ziehen, da aber auch deren neues Album ein Burner ist, kann das nur ein positives Merkmal sein.
Fazit: Caliban haben sich weiterentwickelt, das neue Album ist ein Kracher und sie werden damit keine Fans verlieren, aber hoffentlich noch eine Menge dazugewinnen. Kaufen!

Der Song verkörpert das Album. Agressiv, melodisch, mit unglaublichen Midtempo Parts. Texte voller innerer Zerrissenheit. Hammer!

Ey, wo "Metal" draufsteht ist auch Metal drin, hat also generell immer (verzerrte) Gitarren dabei.
Caliban gefällt mir leider gar nicht. Wenn das Gesinge nicht wäre wärs echt cool, aber so, naja. Ich habs lieber "entweder oder".
100 Demons find ich cool, habe aber leider noch kein Album von denen, weil ich lange keinen Shop fand der sie hat. (sehe gerade, dass das erste Album ausverkauft ist, toll ...).
Ich finde Deride noch cool. Metalcore. Ordentlich, kompromisslos ( = kein Gesinge).

komisch...hier gehts um hardcore und so viele gute hardcore bands fehlen und ich hab so viele bands gelesen, die ich nicht in die sparte hardcore stecken würde, aber egal...das mit den sparten is eh kacke...
hardcore is für mich sowas wie:
boysetsfire, coheed and cambria, refused, rise against, chevelle, finch, funeral for a friend....blubb kA...die musik tendiert auch eher zum emo core...aber das meiste davon is schon hardcore...naju emo is hald auch ziemlich genial so get up kids, all american rejects (eher emopunk so kA), thursday...blaaah....

Von den genannten Bands kenn ich nur Boysetsfire vom Hören her, und naja, Hardcore .. Hab mal ein Album von denen angehört, Teenie Musik halt, aber sicher kein "tough guy" HCOriginal erstellt von crunge

@crunge. Jo, du hat deine Fragen (?) eigentlich schon selbst beantwortet....Emocore halt bzw. Emopunk. Aber eigentlich ist das auch wirklich egal. Ich bin auch nicht so der Schubladenreiter und finde dies engen Kategorien auch ein wenig daneben.
