Um zum Thema zurück zu kommen:
Hört hier überhaupt jemand Hardcore? Ich meine jetzt nicht Metalcore oder sowas, ich meine Sachen wie Ludichrist, Black Train Jack, Citizens Arrest, Crumbsuckers, Leeway, Underdog etc etc.?
Also die richtig alte Schule?
Wenn mich jemand fragt was ich höre und ich mit "Hardcore" antworte, kommt sofort "ach so... Hatebreed und Caliban usw.". Wenn ich dann mit Bands wie Bad Brains oder Token Entry kontere, sehe ich immer nur ein großes "?" im Gesicht meines Gegenübers.
Warum wird Hardcore immer nur mit diesen Bands in Verbindung gebracht?!

Hab davon auch in ner Gratiszeitung bei uns gelesen. Dort war von einem "Heavy Metal Festival" die Rede ... olol.Original geschrieben von pa
war da und es war sau geil bis auf den zwischenfall (wovon man vor ort aber nichts mitbekommen hat). ist aber sowieso nen bischen komisch, man hört von überall was anders. die einen sagen der wäre erst nochmal 2 stunden rumgelaufen und dann erst kollabiert. dann solls angeblich bei ner wall of death gewesen, wobei es freitag aber garkeine gab. dann ist in einigen berichten zu lesen der wäre im krankenhaus gestorben, andere sagen noch vor ort im krankenwagen...
ist aber so gesehn auch vollkommen egal, sowas ist super scheisse und darf nicht passieren! tiefstes beileid an angehörige und freunde!

nach dem "Pressure-Festival" in Herne ein 26-jähriger
Konzertbesucher, der nach eigenen Angaben einen Tritt in die
Lebergegend erhalten hatte (wir berichteten). Am heutigen 28. Juni
wurde der Verstorbene, der in der Nähe von Gerolstein gelebt hat, im
Gerichtsmedizinischen Institut in Essen obduziert. Dabei wurde eine
ältere Herzvorschädigung als Todesursache festgestellt. Ein
Kausalzusammenhang mit dem Geschehen auf der Tanzfläche besteht
nicht.

Ich fass mich a weng kurz
Ich wollte an dieser Stelle mal ne neue CD empfehlen, naemlich von der Band "Above This Fire".
"In Perspective" heisst das gute Ding, kam irgendwie Mitte 2005 oder so raus, bin aber jetz erst darauf aufmerksam geworden.
Melodiöser "oldschool" (sofern man das hier sagen darf :>) HC, mit schönem geshoute, der einen ganz schön mitreisst.
Der erste Anspieltipp meinerseits ist gleich das erste Lied, "Reaction" der Name
. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass es vielleicht nicht die beste Idee war, gleich so einen Burner am Anfang eines Albums zu machen, weil man dann noch mehr erwartet, aber was solls. Der Song pusht schon ungemein und leider bin ich dann auch ein wenig enttäuscht über die weiteren folgenden Tracks, aber schlecht sind sie deswegen nicht.
Der zweite Anspieltipp wäre dann "When Screams go Silent".
Wer auf Killing The Dream, Comeback Kid, Bane, I Defy steht sollte sich die wohl echt mal geben.
Leider gibts nicht die für mich besten Lieder zum anhören, dafür 2 andere.

It Dies Today ist wirklich eine tolle Band, hatte ich auch vorher schon erwähnt. Ansonsten danke für die Tipps. Vor allem "A Day To Remember" gefallen mir sehr gut, "A Dozen Furies" ebenfalls. "Protest The Hero" ist irgendwie strange, zu wenig eingängig für mein Gehör, obwohl mir ja auch "Norma Jean" gefallen....hm...irgendetwas hat mir da nicht so gepasst.

Die Stimme von dem Sänger is verdammt rauh und kratzig, ähnlich wie Above This Fire nur noch bissl krechzender. Jednfalls sehr geile Melodien, die wie üblich verdammt einfach gehalten sind aber einen das überhaupt nich stört.
Btw2: Die Nerds von HORSE The Band haben ein neues Album mit dem Titel "The Mechanical Hand".

So Leute...um mal wieder ein wenig Leben hier herein zu bringen, aber vor allem um euch ein Album ans Herz zu legen, das mich so dermassen beeindruckt hat, dass mir momentan noch die Worte fehlen um selber ein Review zu schreiben. Deshalb an dieser Stelle eine Copy-and-Paste-Aktion von zwei anderen Reviews:
JACKHAMMER HARDCORE: As great as Our Lady Annihilation was, Most Precious Blood was still sort of an “ex-members of” band. It’s difficult—even after five years together—to avoid something like that when a band has risen from the ashes of Indecision and, with the addition of hardcore vocalist Rob Fusco a couple years back, One King Down. That’s all over now, though. Merciless has killed that designation deader than the corpse on its cover. The vibe here is absolutely murderous; the music epic and pummeling; the lyrics without mercy; the power undeniable. Forget crossover. Forget hyphenated metal-punk-goth-whatever-core. Forget fashion. Merciless is the real deal, one of the only a handful of truly captivating and original hardcore records released over the past few years. While so many of their peers put out albums with few great breakdowns wrapped in a bunch of fluffy filler, Most Precious Blood has refined every riff on Merciless to perfection. It’s orchestral, transcendental, and, most importantly, heavy enough to reduce a grown man to tears. There are even some electronic elements and metal licks tastefully included that never dilute or contaminate the core brutality. Hopefully, this sets the standard for whatever follows. The scene could use a good dose of reality combat all the eyeliner, fancy haircuts, and tight jeans.
Sold. Completely sold; that is the first reaction to Most Precious Blood, I am completely sold on the idea of this band being the archetypal sound of epitomic hardcore progression. Merciless is just that; a wholly unrelenting surge of old school riffing and new school atmosphere, take “Shark Ethic” for instance; the rising and falling keys and choirs complemented by perfectly simple chording amassing into a swelling definition of anthem. The heyday bass intro and pit swirling chorus of “Driving Angry” recalls the golden age of pitting and gang vocals, take no shit attitude and pride. Most Precious Blood have taken the reigns handed to them by Indecision (MPB and it’s members spawned from the demise of Indecision several years ago, naming themselves after an Indecision record) and have gleefully run the course, never has a band so competently used the hardcore schematic to their advantage, the trouble-free breakdowns, thunderous toms and flawless voice (of Rob Fusco) culminating in the characterization that real, true hardcore needs. Merciless is tried and true unfaltering conviction, and for that I must pay respect. Best hard-fucking-core, no bullshit, no gimmick, no trends album since, well, ever. A top for the year and an all-time top for the genre.

Sold. Completely sold; that is the first reaction to Most Precious Blood, I am completely sold on the idea of this band being the archetypal sound of epitomic hardcore progression. Merciless is just that; a wholly unrelenting surge of old school riffing and new school atmosphere, take “Shark Ethic” for instance; the rising and falling keys and choirs complemented by perfectly simple chording amassing into a swelling definition of anthem. The heyday bass intro and pit swirling chorus of “Driving Angry” recalls the golden age of pitting and gang vocals, take no shit attitude and pride. Most Precious Blood have taken the reigns handed to them by Indecision (MPB and it’s members spawned from the demise of Indecision several years ago, naming themselves after an Indecision record) and have gleefully run the course, never has a band so competently used the hardcore schematic to their advantage, the trouble-free breakdowns, thunderous toms and flawless voice (of Rob Fusco) culminating in the characterization that real, true hardcore needs. Merciless is tried and true unfaltering conviction, and for that I must pay respect. Best hard-fucking-core, no bullshit, no gimmick, no trends album since, well, ever. A top for the year and an all-time top for the genre.

hehe Acheron...ich mag Rammstein, aber mit Hardcore haben die soviel gemeinsam wie Tatjan Gsell mit Mutter Theresa.

- Throwdown (tja schwer zusagen....ich würd mal sagen ne mischung aus hatebreed und killswitch engage)
- Knuckledust (für mich ganz neu. hab ich von nem dj inner disco erfahren. gehen in die richtung von terror)
