Hab' eben mal ein paar Dimmu Borgir Alben durchgehört (früher gern gehört - manche Titel zumindest ). Dabei ist mir allerdings ein Track aufgefallen den kannte ich überhaupt nicht.
Gefällt mir verdammt gut, ist aber nicht das was Dimmu Borgir üblicherweise produziert .
Jetzt suche ich verzeifelt nach ähnlichen Tracks von anderen Bands bzw. am besten Bands die genau sowas produzieren.. düster, dramatisch, hervorgehobenes Schlagzeug, bevorzugt Instrumentalstücke. Auch gerne etwas schneller im Takt

Dark Metal ist ein Begriff, der von der deutschen Band Bethlehem durch ihr '94 erschienenes Album „Dark Metal“ geprägt wurde. Er beschreibt Musik in der Grauzone zwischen Gothic Metal, Black Metal und Death Metal.
Wenn man das jetzt so liest, gibts irgendwie Sinn. Ich hab die Bezeichnung vorher aber auch als recht unnötig empfunden.
Toll, ein Begriff, der primär mal den Musikstil einer Band beschreibt, das ist ja noch besser.
Ich bin also auch dafür, dass man "Symphonic Epic Hollywood Metal" als Genrebezeichnung einführt.

Keine Keyboards aber vielleicht das Album "Station" von Russian Circles.
Das ist irgendwas... naja, Post Rock / Metal. Hat keinen Gesang, alles sehr auf Musikdramatik gemacht, hör' vielleicht mal rein.
Ohne Gekreisch findest du sonst eh nur Intros o. ä.
